An international jewellery design competition held during the Dubai International jewellery Week in November 2009, under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima Al Qassimi.

In November 2009, Kholoud won the first place in the International Jewellery Competition that was held during Dubai Jewellery Exhibition. She is the first Saudi jewellery designer to win such a competition.

The winning design is inspired by a poem of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.  She has chosen one of his poems in which he described his beloved women eyes like diamonds.

A charity event, under the patronage of her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It took place on December, 10th, 2009 and was held at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) as part of the Dubai International Film Festival 2009 (DIFF).

Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein of Jordan graced the event as Special Chair. The exclusive event was dazzling in the presence of great Hollywood, Bollywood and Middle East actors, such as Matt Dillon, producer Milutin Gatsby, actress Christina Ricci, Mandy Moore, Amitabh Batchan and many more.

Kholoud donated a limited edition piece named ‘Sentiment of a Knight’ artistically illustrated using stunning Arabic calligraphy. The 18 k gold necklace embedded with 07.00ct of diamonds is considered among several impressive memorable pieces. Arabic actors “Mostafa Fahmi” and “Elham Shaheen” presented the Necklace and it was auctioned and sold for $110,000.

The limited edition necklace shined among other great art works including a limited edition Cartier watch, Channel diamond bag and a few others.

A first of its kind Coffee Table Book, 444 pages, devoted to the finest and most exclusive brands in the world of haute jewellery and is prefaced by a foreword from Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade.

Kholoud is the only Arabic jewellery designer referenced in the book, highlighted as a designer and an owner of one of the best jewellery boutiques in Dubai.

Kholoud has been referred to as “Jewel of Arabia”
